Fifth Annual ‘Taste Of Recovery’ Culinary Festival,

A Food Event That Benefited Crossroads Club And

Addiction Recovery, Attracted 800 Attendees

The fifth annual Taste of Recovery was held on Saturday,
Nov. 4 at the American German Club in Lake Worth. The
acclaimed culinary festival featured bites from top chefs
representing restaurants throughout Palm Beach County, as
well as live entertainment and was attended by more than
800 guests and raised over $100,000. Christopher and Joan
Finley were the event cochairs.
Taste of Recovery benefits The Crossroads Club, a
nonprofit organization in Delray Beach that is celebrating
40 years in the community. The organization, at no charge,
provides a safe haven for anyone whose life has been adversely
affected by, or through, the use of addictive substances.

Heart And Spirit Event Mayors Ball

On Nov. 9, Boca Helping Hands hosted more Celebrates History
than 60 people at their Heart and Spirit Society
Open House. The Heart and Spirit Society is Of City
a group of Boca Helping Hands ambassadors
dedicated to spreading the word about the
organization’s work and recruiting new supporters. Rotary Club Downtown Boca Event Supports Health,
Attendees learned about everything new that was Welfare Needs of Boca Nonprofits
happening with Boca Helping Hands.
The Heart and Spirit Committee members are Celebrating the City of Boca Raton’s iconic milestones
Kathy Adkins, Ronnie Bidder, Lisa Borg, Robin and honoring the visionaries past and present were once again
Deyo, and Peggy Jones. Robin Deyo sponsored the the centerpiece of the sold-out Eighth Boca Raton Mayors
food truck and Cove Brewery donated a delicious Andy Hagen, Bonnie Hildebrand, James Ault, Jane Coyle, Jerry Kessler, Ball presented by Rotary Club Downtown Boca Raton. The
selection of craft beer. Joyce Kessler Greg Peters 400 gala-goers – the Who’s Who of the City’s civic, business,
and nonprofit leaders – enjoyed touring themed table settings
highlighting The Boca Hotel, the Yamato farming community,
Pearl City, Boca Raton Airport, Arvida, Town Hall, Royal
Palm Place, Community Legends Floss Keesley and Count
and Countess de Hoernle, its three hometown universities,
the Boca Chamber, and sports and recreation opportunities
in golf and football.
