        The Stuart Rotary Charitable Foundation has changed the
      lives of countless numbers of people, thanks to the donations
      of club members, friends of the nonprofit and a variety of
      fundraising events that are held throughout the year.
        On May 3, the 501(c)(3) hosted the Third Annual Mayors’
      Gala at Mariner Sands Country Club in Stuart.
        A check for $9,000 was presented to Lynne Barletta,
      representing Catch the Wave of Hope, which is dedicated to
      abolishing human trafficking and a check for $10,000 was
      presented to Ann Decker, executive director of the IRSC
      Foundation, earmarked for trades education for Martin                                                John Napier and Becky   Inez Frid and Scott Samples

        The crowd watching the Kentucky Derby horse race in
      western Palm City knew the winners before the race even
      began. The winners were disadvantaged children helped by
      Caring Children Clothing Children and 60 horses rescued
      by the Equine Adoption and Rescue Foundation (ERAF).
      The Kentucky Derby fundraiser was the second year the two
      charities hosted the event together.
        “The fastest horse was later disqualified, but this party
      was an unqualified success,” said Gigi Suntum, executive
      director of Caring Children Clothing Children. “We raised
      money to help children and horses, which is always a winning
