Annual Boca Raton Mayors Ball November 16th

Bringing Boca Raton its own Mayors Ball,
presented in iconic honored tradition of the annual
themed galas in the cities of Palm Beach and Miami,
the Rotary Club Downtown Boca Raton once again
will roll out the red carpet as it presents the fifth annual
Boca Raton Mayors Ball, Saturday, November 16th at
6 p.m. To be held this year at Boca West Country Club,
the black-tie dinner/dance gala will feature a lavish
reception and dinner, set amidst City-themed décor and
the dance floor-filling live music of the Steve Chase
      Band.
Annually recognizing the City’s visionaries past and
present, this year’s three Rotary Club Downtown Boca
Raton George Long Awards---named for the City’s
first mayor---will be presented to Lynn University
President Kevin Ross (individual), Florence Fuller

Broken Sound Club Members Tour Ireland and Scotland

To Play Legendary Golf Courses, Attend 148th Open

Among the wide range of year-round activities made available to all Broken Sound Club
members has been the opportunity in recent years for golfers to travel abroad as a group for
the experience of playing on some of the world’s most beautiful and famous courses, and to
      attend the classic Open Championships.
This year’s tour was planned in September of 2018 and took place last month: seven days,
the third week of July, when eleven Broken Sound Club members joined two of the Club’s
Golf pros on a luxurious tour to Ireland, North Ireland and Scotland that included rounds of
play at the Royal Troon Golf Club, host of the 2016 Open Championship; Prestwick Golf
Club, where the Open Championship was born; the Trump Turnberry Alisa Course; the
Ardglass Golf Club, and the Postmarnock Golf Club’s Championship Course.
On Wednesday of that week, the group attended the Third Round of the Open Championship
      at Royal Portrush Golf Club.
With all luxury travel, hotel accommodations, dining and amenities---even golf carts and
caddies---arranged in advance for this Open Championship Experience, the group enjoyed
stays at the Trump Turnberry Resort in Ayrshire, Scotland; the Ardglass Golf Club in Northern
Ireland, and the Castlenock Hotel in Dublin, Ireland, before returning home from Dublin.
For most people, this would be called a “once in a lifetime” opportunity, but at Broken
Sound Club it’s just par for the course.

(Back Row, from left:) Jean Ende, Jerry Ende, Alan Berzow, Rich Kesner, Jamie Stockton,

Newman, Head Golf Pro of Broken Sound’s New Course. (Front Row, from left:) Marcis
