Beach Bash Brings Back The Heartbeat Of Conservation
To Palm Beach And ‘Squeezes The Day’
As the late Lilly Pulitzer once said, “If you haven’t
any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind
of heart trouble.” On Saturday, Dec. 28, hundreds
of philanthropists descended upon The Beach Club
to celebrate in style at Lilly Pulitzer’s Beach Bash
Palm Beach, benefiting The Sea Turtle Hospital at
Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC). Beach Bash
Palm Beach is the highlight of the Palm Beach social
season and the unique fashion fueled event capitalized
on South Florida’s rich fashion history, philanthropy
and commitment to conservation.
The coveted Beach Bash, in partnership with
presenting sponsor Lilly Pulitzer, rallied hundreds
of Lilly-clad guests to its “squeeze the day” themed
evening with Lilly Leas Ferreira as the returning event
chair. The signature event included extraordinary

South Florida Launch Of
Cincoro Tequila At 1000
NORTH!
1000 NORTH maintains the highest standards in
everything – food, service, and atmosphere. That’s
why the Jupiter restaurant and private club was the
ideal location for the South Florida launch of Cincoro
Tequila on Monday, Dec. 9.
Guests at the private event not only got to taste
all the tequila varieties, they also learned about the
intricate process of extracting the Weber Blue agave
and distilling it in small batches. Cincoro makes four
tequilas – Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo.
Michael Jordan, who is both a partner at 1000
NORTH and in the Cincoro Tequila brand, shared
how he and four friendly basketball rivals, Jeanie
Buss of Los Angeles, Wes Edens of Milwaukee,
and Emilia Fazzalari and Wyc Grousbeck of Boston,
bonded over their love of tequila and decided to
start the company. Jordan says the name, Cincoro,
which translates to “five gold” in Spanish (“cinco” Michael Jordan
meaning five, “oro” meaning gold), represents the
five partners and their pursuit to create the gold standard in tequila.

from Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Black Coral Rum, and
Whispering Rosé, and one-of-a-kind auction and raffle
items, including an “eau-cean” getaway at the Eau Palm
Beach Resort & Spa, a Lilly Pulitzer mommy and me
pamper package and two seats aboard the Goodyear blimp.
Equally swoonworthy was the summer dining
membership to be used at The Palm Beach Yacht Club, two
tickets to the Badgley and Mischka Fashion Show during
New York Fashion Week, a private party for ten guests at
Coyo Taco, a nine-liter Whispering Rosé wine bottle, a C.
Orrico Palm Beach basket, tickets to Busch Gardens Tampa
and more.
In the ballroom, guests enjoyed the snap and share booth,
a vibrant performance by a Junkanoo Band and a live look
at the hand-painted Lilly dress by artist, Melissa Lingo.

Rees Jones Redesigned
South Course Reopens
BallenIsles Country Club’s famed South Course reopened on Sunday, Jan. 12 following
an eight-month, $7.5 million golf course renovation project led by renowned golf course
architect Rees Jones. BallenIsles celebrated the course’s reopening with a grand opening
event featuring Rees Jones.
Crews from Total Golf began on-course renovation work in April 2019 focused on
revitalizing the 55-year-old course. Led by Ron Despain, the highly regarded project manager
from Troon, the renovations included a complete tee-to-green makeover, including new
bunkers, design modifications that improve strategy and shot options, an all-new irrigation
system, drainage and concrete cart paths. As part of the renovation, a new set of tees was
added, measuring approximately 4,000 yards, to provide a shorter course playing option,
allowing for five to six various tee settings and angles to challenge different levels of golfers.
