Sound Food and Beverage Director, announced to
members that Jay Prisco has been appointed Executive
Chef. It was a fitting and well-deserved promotion for
Chef Prisco, who has been on Broken Sound’s staff
since November 2015. Prior to arriving at Broken
Sound, he had received a degree from the Florida
Culinary Institute and held the title of Chef de Cuisine
at the Polo Club.
He had also held several Executive Chef positions
at the highly regarded Rapaport’s Restaurant Group venues.
Chef Jay takes over the leadership role from Chef Joe Longo. The Club’s General
Manager and COO, John Crean, spoke for management and members alike in extending
best wishes to Longo for “a future as successful as it has been for him at Broken Sound.”
From a young age, Chef Jay’s life has centered around food. He labored in his family’s
kitchen with fresh ingredients from the family garden, and in college selected an area that
set him on the right path.
He relocated to Fort Lauderdale, expanded his knowledge of food and wines while
working with great chefs in South Florida, and traveled the world. While in South Africa
