Education Foundation of Martin County’s Bulletin
Board module connects community and classrooms for
non-monetary needs, providing for a direct exchange
of offerings and materials to support education
in Martin County. Businesses can post internship
opportunities for students and externship opportunities
for teachers, offer experts to speak to classes or sit on
career and technical education advisory boards – or
they can offer gently used equipment for classroom
use. Nonprofits can post volunteer or scholarship
opportunities for students. Individuals can post non-
monetary offerings like gently used children’s books
or recycled materials for classroom projects. Postings
can be made visible only to teachers and principals,
not the public. Teachers can post need for materials for
projects (old magazines, gently used children’s books,
shoe boxes, etc.), and seek experts to get involved in a
class project or career day. Possibilities are just about
endless. Students can use the site when looking for
scholarship, internship, or volunteer opportunities.
