Festival Of Trees And Lights A Holiday Hit

      By Jackie Holfelder
Tykes & Teens’ Festival of Trees and Lights has started the
holiday season off on a joyful note for 13 years and 2020 was no
exception. It just took a revised game plan, some reconfigured
events and a few masks to pull off the beloved event.
During the week of Nov. 16 to 21, confident-in-spite-
of-COVID attendees participated in events at the Flagler
Center that raised $175,000 to help fund vital mental health
programs across the Treasure Coast for children and their
families – needed now more than ever.
Donations were generated by both online and in-person
events this year. More than one-third of the money raised was
brought in through a series of well-attended virtual events such
as a Cooking Class with Rick and Taylor Wilson of the Gafford,
Story Time with Mrs. Claus and a live sale from Kling Gallery.
