Among the participants this year are eight members of the Lighthouse Dragons dragon boat
team, which is composed of breast cancer survivors and supporters. The team has been training
for months to participate in the event on paddleboards and surfskis. Four of the eight will paddle
the entire distance as solo paddlers, while the remaining four will take turns as a relay team.
