Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum celebrates United
States military history in November by again offering veterans
free general admission all month long. New this November:
“Veterans Event: Five Flags Over Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse,”
free for veterans and their families, will be held on Nov. 6,
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The star-spangled event invites veterans
for a light breakfast served by members of the United States
Army, the Presentation of Colors, and the singing of the
national anthem. Josh Liller, lighthouse historian, will present
a history of all five military branches active at the Jupiter
Inlet Lighthouse. A special keynote speaker will conclude
the presentations. Veterans and their families are invited to
climb the lighthouse and experience military pop-up exhibits
throughout the grounds.
Other organizations participating in this exciting event
include: the Elliott Museum, Reverence Riders Veterans
Motorcycle Association, Road to Victory Museum – WWII
reenactors, Jensen Beach High School Jubilate Choir, Union
Navy Civil War reenactors, United States Naval Sea Cadet
Corps, United States Coast Guard Aids-To-Navigation Teams
from Fort Pierce and Station Lake Worth, and coffee will be
provided by Starbucks-Fisherman’s Wharf Jupiter.
All veterans will leave with a token of our appreciation.
Though admission is free for veterans and their families, R.S.V.P.
is required online by Oct. 29, at https://bit.ly/JILMVets.
