                                                                                                            The Little Free Library
                                                                                                              Little Free Library is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit
                                                                                                            organization that builds community, inspires readers, and
                                                                                                            expands book access for all through a global network of
                                                                                                            volunteer-led little libraries. The organization has building
                                                                                                            standards for the box that becomes a community project. A
                                                                                                            former homeowner offered to build our station according
                                                                                                            to specification and place it in the tot lot. Since that time,
                                                                                                            homeowner Mike Stevens reconstructed and improved the
                                                                                                            station after it was damaged in a storm. When I recently
                                                                                                            checked on the structure it was jammed with magazines
                                                                                                            for which it was not designed. The space was in disarray
                                                                                                            and uninviting. Originally, the national organization’s aim
                                                                                                            was to provide free books to children. That was altered
                                                                                                            to include books for all ages. The idea is to take a book,
                                                                                                            to return or replace with another. In cooperation with
                                                                                                            the principle of the project and the community service,
                                                                                                            users are encouraged to visit the library and to help keep
                                                                                                            it orderly with books, only.

                                                                                                            Crime Watch
                                                                                                              As chair of the crime watch function on the HOA board,
                                                                                                            I attend a monthly meeting of Jupiter Police Department’s
                                                                                                            Community Advisory Group (CAG) along with other
                                                                                                            Jupiter communities’ representatives. In short, Jupiter
                                                                                                            crimes are down considerably. The Shores is in District
                                                                                                            One which has a district commander who attends the
                                                                                                            meetings along with the entire Jupiter Police Department
                                                                                                            leadership  including  the  chief. The Jupiter  Police
                                                                                                            Department depends on us to help by being watchful and
                                                                                                            reporting suspicious activity immediately. Phone numbers
