Sen. Rick Scott recently visited Palm Beach Synagogue concentration camp in Poland to ensure they could see
for a roundtable discussion with Palm Beach Jewish firsthand the results of antisemitism. Scott listened to stories
leadership about antisemitism, recent synagogue attacks, from the group of how individuals had personally encountered
and what we must do to counter antisemitism in Florida, the antisemitism. The discussion also focused on what the leaders
U.S., and worldwide. of the Jewish community can do to fight antisemitism on
a local and worldwide
level and the importance
of using media to influence
opinions on the subject.
Other areas of discussion
were homeland security
grants for religious
institutions and preventing
domestic terrorism.
The meeting closed
with Scott accepting a
keynote speaker role for
Palm Beach Synagogue’s
upcoming conference on
antisemitism, to be held
at the Colony Hotel on
March 15.
