      Jensen Beach – 2022 Purse Party SOLD OUT!

         On March 28, 200 magnificent and
      generous ladies gathered to enjoy a day full
      of great conversation and competitive bidding
      for some amazing designer handbags, shoes
      and accessories.  This girly gathering was
      hosted by Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country
      Club in Palm City and presented by Kathleen
      B. Walgreen. Event attendees participated in
      some fun onsite games and were blessed to
      hear  the  angelic  voice  of  the  young  Jordan
      Jones! The room silenced when the winners
      of the New Louis Vuitton Graceful Handbag  Ashleigh Walters and Laura Barbone
      and Credit Card holder and Gift Card Raffle

      Salvation Army Celebrates Its Volunteers



         The Salvation Army of Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee Counties recently showed
      appreciation for its volunteers at a celebratory luncheon held at Martin Downs Golf
      Club in Palm City. The program included recognition of top volunteers and guest
      speakers Major Sarah Nelson and Lieutenant Mariah Deshazo, who gave testimony
      of their experiences serving in the Salvation Army. In addition to being treated to a
      delightful lunch, each guest received a small gift and a ticket for a chance to win a
      basket of goodies.
         “One of the most important choices you can make is how you share your time,” said
      Gary Blackmon, Volunteer Coordinator for the Salvation Army. “Every day I see our
      volunteers giving so freely to help others in need.”
         The crowd cheered as Blackmon recognized volunteers for their total hours of
      service working for the Salvation Army in 2021. Top honors were given to Steve Casola,
      Kaylee Cumming and June Stires for their work in the Salvation Army food pantries,
      to Kenneth Marks for his work in the soup kitchen, to Janice Belwood, Rosa Cruz and
      Roy Brooks for their work in the Family Stores, to Doreen Wilson for her help with
      the Angel Tree program, and to Kathy Span, Charles Stracuzzi, Carl Gaiser and Donna

      Humane Society Generates Funds


      For Shelter Animals With A Touch Of Country




         Cowboy hats and boots were the attire for the evening at the Humane Society of the
      Treasure Coast’s (HSTC) annual Paws & Claws gala. The event’s theme was “Country Cats
      and Dogs.” Held at the brand-new Colab Kitchen, the countrified gala raised $270,000,
      which benefits the Palm City shelter’s animals.
         WPTV/WFLX anchor Jay Cashmere emceed the event and Elliot Paul served as the
      live auctioneer. Katie Astras and Kit Haas cochaired the affair. The evening’s activities
      included fancy beverages, gourmet food, the southern sounds of the Tom Jackson Band
      and line dancing led by DeeDee Maynard of the Wild Roses Dance Team.
