Chasin A Dream Foundation Raises $250,000

For Local Children Battling Life Threatening Illnesses

COVID delayed the much anticipated annual fundraiser, We Rock As Lions, for Chasin A
Dream and the community rallied to support the luncheon held on April 4 at the Wyndham Grand
      Jupiter.
The event celebrates the bravery of local children battling cancer, cystic fibrosis, heart disease
and other life threatening illnesses and disabilities. Children, ranging in age from 2-year-old Grace
Renfrow currently undergoing grueling treatment for stage IV neuroblastoma to 17-year-old Geo
Marquea battling leukemia, brought tears of joy to guests and cheers could be heard throughout
the hotel as they rocked the runway.
The runway event culminated in a jaw dropping performance by 17-year-old Mikayla Beatty
singing I Am A Warrior (Patty Smyth) with the room erupting in applause as all of the children
took the stage. We Rock As Lions is 100 percent about celebrating the children and one of the
things guests look forward to each year.
Chasin A Dream was founded in 2016 by Lori Griffith after spending the majority of her career
in healthcare and witnessing firsthand the devastating effects a life threatening diagnosis has on
