      JFS Assembles Rosh Hashanah Baskets for Community




         Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family Service assembled and
      distributed Rosh Hashanah baskets – filled with applesauce, gefilte fish,
      matzah ball soup, honey, apples, honey cake, cans of carrots, green
      beans, sweet potatoes, and either a kosher frozen turkey or a Publix
      gift card – to 120 local households in need in advance of the High
      Holy Days. The baskets also included a greeting card and a memorial
      candle that is lit in memory of lost loved ones.
         Alpert JFS volunteers and apartment program residents (individuals
      with disabilities) assembled and packed the baskets on September 13 to
      prepare them for delivery to community members in need throughout
