       Thousands Of Holiday Meal Boxes At Pack The House



      More Opportunities Available
      To Help The One In Four

      Struggling To Make Ends Meet

        Hundreds of volunteers packed 15,000 holiday meal boxes
      as part of Treasure Coast Food Bank’s Eighth Annual Pack the
      House, a kickoff to the holiday season. The event took place
      Oct. 28 and 29. More than 500 volunteers worked in three-hour
      shifts to fill boxes with holiday fixings for people struggling to
      make ends meet.
        Treasure Coast Food Bank Board member Mark Satterlee
      welcomed guests and dignitaries to the kickoff ceremony Friday
      morning, sharing that Treasure Coast Food Bank helps anyone

         Riders from all over South Florida came together at Tailwind Trails in Palm City,

                                                                                     The sky was brilliant blue and the enthusiasm was infectious at the Third Annual
                                                                                   Family Promise of Martin County Bed Races that took place on Oct. 22 at First
                                                                                   United Methodist Church of Stuart.
                                                                                     The 12 imaginative and creative beds that were entered started lining up well
                                                                                   before the event’s 10 a.m. start time and there were plenty of spectators and supporters
                                                                                   on hand to cheer their efforts.
                                                                                     The businesses, nonprofits and organizations entering beds included First United
                                                                                   Methodist Church of Stuart, Immanuel Lutheran Church, First United Methodist
                                                                                   Church of Hobe Sound, Reverse the Door, Helping People Succeed, Prince of Peace
                                                                                   Lutheran Church, Stuart Congregational Church/For The Love of Learning Private
                                                                                   School, Unity Church, Hobe Sound Early Learning Center, Everyday Mission,
                                                                                   Renntech Motorsports and The Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast.
