Hibiscus Children’s Center Presents
‘Viva Las Vegas Casino Night’ To Benefit Children
By Tracy Savoia
Hibiscus Children’s Center hosted the “Viva Las Vegas
Casino Night” on Nov. 18 at Mariner Sands Country Club
in Stuart. This lovely affair featured incredible raffle prizes
and a gourmet dinner followed by guests dancing the night
away to the sounds of D.J. Brian Lemen. All proceeds directly
benefit the abused, abandoned and neglected children living
at the Hibiscus Shelter in Jensen Beach and will enhance
their lives and help them heal through educational, medical
and professional therapeutic services.
The festivities began with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and
then guests got the chance to roll the dice in our casino where
they experienced all the glitz, glamour and excitement of

With A Tropical Twist, Pinot & Picasso A Hit
By Jackie Holfelder
Helping People Succeed offered a casually elegant “With a
Tropical Twist” vibe at this year’s Pinot & Picasso fundraiser,
which was happily embraced by the close to 200 attendees.
Guests were welcomed to Harbour Ridge Yacht &
Country Club with a delectable signature drink and the
lively music of the Gratitude Steel Drum Band as they
mingled with the 2023 Art for Living Calendar artists.
As they entered, Bill “Boz” Bosley performed tropical
favorites – and in a first for Pinot & Picasso – offered
after-dinner dancing.
Jenny Yingling, governing Board of Directors member,
offered a warm welcome and introduced emcee Rob Lord.
