                                                                                                               Florida Power & Light Company and Meals on Wheels
                                                                                                            Palm Beaches recently distributed hurricane meal kits to
                                                                                                            400 seniors across Palm Beach County to assist vulnerable
                                                                                                            seniors who may not be able to leave their homes or receive
                                                                                                            home-delivered meals in the event of a storm. With 2023
                                                                                                            storm season under way, these hurricane kits help ensure
                                                                                                            that local seniors are equipped with vital supplies, including
                                                                                                            three days of shelf-stable, nutritious food, water, and snacks.
                                                           Each week has a different theme such as Torah and
                                                        trampolines, with interactive Jewish educational activities
                                                        of the day. They’ve enjoyed mezuzah and mini-golf day;
                                                        aquarium, science, and shofar day; and sukkot ice skating day.
                                                           After praying, practicing their Hebrew letters, and
                                                                                 enjoying breakfast, the kids
                                                                                 are transported to the outing
                                                                                 of the week. After lunch
                                                                                 there are interactive Jewish
                                                                                 workshops where they learn
                                                                                 about their Jewish heritage in
                                                                                 a fun, memorable way.
