Our President

Summer 2019 has
arrived as we all enjoy
the outdoors both locally
and out of state. We are
fortunate to be able to
make choices and travel
freely; for which we have
our veterans to thank. Our
country recently celebrated
the 75th anniversary of
D-Day and the Battle of
Normandy. With the July
4th celebration approaching, I would like to thank Martin
County and our County Commissioner for the magnificent
display of American Flags flying on the Veterans Bridge
during patriotic holidays. Please keep all of our service
members in your good thoughts.
The Chamber membership looks forward to participating
in September’s Honor Flight. We have established our
Chamber door decal program with an achievable goal of 20
social media posts a month engaging the community. Once
we achieve the goal, Recovery Insurance Adjusters will
deliver scholarships to our members to act as guardians
for the Honor Flight program; which flies our Veterans
to Washington, D.C., for the day to visit their respective
memorials and honor their service to our country. Chamber
members have done a great job with our social media posts
at local businesses; and we look forward to continued
participation throughout the summer.
Palm City is a special place we all discovered and
decided to make our home. Keeping the feel of the great
community we share, I ask you to consider becoming
involved and doing your part. Know your neighbors,
support local business and road safety.
1. Spend time getting to know your neighbors. Using
your eyes and ears and reporting any suspicious
activity to the Martin County Sheriff’s office. Help
to keep our community safe!
2. Dine out and support your local businesses. Introduce
yourself to the owners. They appreciate feedback on
their delivery of services. If you happen to see a Palm
City Chamber door decal, thank them for supporting
the business community. Staff always appreciate a
public posting on social media for a job well done.
3. Vehicle traffic and courtesy. Our Chamber leadership
recently visited the traffic control room located at the
airport. An amazing system in place to ensure that
we have a safe traffic pattern and community. We
can also do our part without exclusively relying on Upcoming 2019
traffic lights and signs...yes, by practicing common

camps. A smile and a wave is always a nice way to
