The North Palm Beach Library brought in a big round
discovery dome and had three 45-minute shows on July
23 for residents and guests to learn more about what is
in the skies above us.
A science educator took the audiences into the night
sky in a 360-degree inflatable planetarium. He gave
presentations showing planets, like Jupiter and Saturn and
their relationships to so many constellations, explaining
what stars are made of, and spoke of Galileo, an Italian
astronomer, physicist and engineer who has been called
the “father of observational astronomy.”
