was reminiscent of Sept. 12, when people came together
in peace, love and unity.
More than 200 corporate volunteers from organizations
such as Publix, Florida Power & Light, Cleveland Clinic
Martin Health, and Macy’s tackled five different projects:
• Stress relief kits for first responders
• Hurricane disaster kits for seniors
• STEM kits for local students
• Holiday greeting cards for homebound seniors
• Support teams for volunteers working on the other
projects: building boxes, etc.
Day of Caring was sponsored by Macy’s, located in the
Treasure Coast Square Mall, and Publix Super Markets.
Starbucks provided refreshments for the event.
