Abacoa Community Garden
Interest is growing about the Abacoa Community Garden Not everyone had to have seeds to find out about the drinks and learned

There was great food and and those interested in the garden can come out to work on
friendly and helpful staff. the shared plantings and other projects as well as take home
some of the shared bounty.
Recent harvest included sweet potatoes, Malabar spinach, hot
pepper plants, eggplant and mint. Project work included building
a tomato support fence and remulching the paths in the garden.
New plantings included radish, arugula, dandelion, kale, Swiss
chard and even sunflowers and nasturtium in the kids’ beds.
Community membership is always available at $36 a year
per household. Independent beds are available on a first-come,
first-served basis. They are $30 extra for a half bed and $60
