2019 Shores Halloween Party

This is the fourth year that the event was organized by three brought her team to serve snacks, treats, and almost 200 hot
Shores families, Sierra and Jim Boyce; Meghan and Warner dogs to neighborhood families. Michael Mather and Johnathan
Boyd; and Vauleia and Tim Toward. The weather was beautiful, Vaughan of BEX Realty treated everyone to popcorn and cotton
and the new playground was the perfect setting for some candy, and the amazing firemen from the Ladder 19 station let
Halloween fun! Children of all ages participated in games and everyone climb on the fire truck. We would like to extend a most
heartfelt thank you to the residents of all ages who showed up to
volunteer their time to set up and decorate the park and to help
run the party itself. This wonderful tradition could not continue
without your help.

On Sunday morning, Dec. 7, 1941, allied with Germany,
the Japanese Imperial Naval Air Service carried out a surprise
attack on the U.S. naval base and headquarters of the U.S.
Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor on Honolulu, Hawaii. At the
time, the United States was a neutral country. The devastating
attack destroyed most of our naval fleet and killed thousands
of our military service members. President Roosevelt declared
war against Japan the following day. Four years later we ended
World War II.
Intelligence
Core characteristics of higher intelligence levels are said
to be curiosity, imagination and seeing possibility. These traits
are often evident in people who achieve and are not bogged
down in negativity and remind me of a quote recently read.
