From the first Thanksgiving dinner distribution that
took place in 2012, this year’s outpouring of community
support grew to help many impacted by the devastating
effects of COVID-19 on their household income.
Rina Shpiruk, CEO of Elev8Hope, shared some
impressive numbers. “We distributed 1,054 turkeys and
2,500 baskets. Of those, 715 baskets were contributed
by youth and businesses from outside of Martin County
because they wanted to join the ‘Wave of Compassion in
      Action.’
“Since we had no idea that Elev8Hope was going to be
presented with these baskets, they hadn’t been included
in our estimates and we were able to share this beautiful
surprise with other nonprofits and churches for their own
      outreach programs.”
