over 400,000 people, Wellington is the second largest urban
area in the country. The city is the hub of banking, art, and
of course governmental involvement. It is also the largest
seaport on the southern half of the North Island. It is touted
as being the least populated national capital in the world, a
proclamation that is hard to counter.
With its cable cars and stunning harbor, Wellington is
often compared to San Francisco. However, each city has
its own particular charm. The cable cars leave the harbor at
Lambton Quay every few minutes and take you effortlessly
up a steep incline, under the motorway and over Kelburn
