                                                                                                           published by Senior Softball USA to honor Ted Battistone

                                                                                                             After the dedication, Cosentino presented Juanita with
                                                                                                           a framed copy of Ted’s obituary that was published in the
                                                                                                           Senior Softball USA Newsletter to honor Ted. Juanita
                                                                                                           thanked the Softball Association saying that playing
                                                                                                           softball was Ted’s first love and “was such a joy in all of
                                                                                                           our lives.”
                                                                                                             The JSSA Hall of Fame was established just five
                                                                                                           days before Ted’s passing last year and he learned of his
                                                                                                           selection before he died. Ted played in the Jupiter Senior
                                                                                                           Softball League for more than 20 years and was also a
                                                                                                           player and general manager for 22 years for the Florida
                                                                                                           Investment Properties Team. He was inducted into the
                                                                                                           National Senior Softball Hall of Fame in 2005.
                                                                                                             The Jupiter Senior Softball program is open to persons 55
                                                                                                           and over and is sponsored by the JSSA in cooperation with
                                                                                                           the Town of Jupiter. Games are every Monday, Wednesday
                                                                                                           and Friday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Jupiter
