Jupiter High School Students

Make Finals In National Competition

In April, two groups, the Jupiter High School Winter
Guard and the Jupiter High School Winds, qualified for
the 2021 WGI Virtual Finals. WGI Sport of the Arts is
the world’s premier organization producing indoor color
guard, percussion, and winds competitions. As a nonprofit
youth organization, WGI also serves as the governing
body for the indoor color guard, percussion, and winds
activities. It is called the Sport of the Arts because it brings
music to life through performance in a competitive format.
Performing Beyond the Rainbow, the winter guard
team, competed in scholastic A class against other groups
from across the country by submitting a video of their
show. They learned their color guard team would progress
to the WGI Virtual Season Finals on April 17 to 18. The
team, which competed in several in-person competitions
in Florida this year, placed third during the 2021 FFCC
Championships at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach
