Add Guided Turtle Walks Led By Loggerhead
Marinelife Center To Your Summer Bucket List
This summer, Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s (LMC)
celebrated guided turtle walks are returning to the scene!
The seasonal experience allows visitors to learn and
observe the nesting process of sea turtles. Participants
can experience the crème de la crème of what makes the
center’s 9.5 miles of monitored beach unique and critical
to marine life research.
From Tuesday to Saturday evenings, throughout June
and July, guests can be a part of one of nature’s greatest
phenomena. With the approval of state-issued permits,
experienced LMC scouts will survey designated sections
of nesting beaches while visitors learn how sea turtles
and the ocean influence their lives through an engaging
presentation and by exploring Florida’s coral reef in
virtual reality. Once a sea turtle is found and evaluated
for safe viewing, the group is then led down to the beach
