Meeting
For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, the
Martin County Genealogical Society (MCGS) will meet in-
person at the Blake Library in Stuart 1 to 3 p.m., Friday, Sept.
17. Returning to its pre-pandemic format, the meeting will
include a business session, free program and refreshments.
The meeting is free and open to the public; face masks are
optional. For those unable to attend in person, the meeting
will be available on Zoom. To participate on Zoom, go to
mcgsfl.org and register by Sept. 15.
Under the banner “This is the Genealogy I Did During
the Pandemic,” several MCGS members will present a
cornucopia of topics including:

In addition to its monthly programs, the genealogical
society offers a variety of services at the Genealogy Room
in the Blake Library in Stuart including an extensive research
library, access to several genealogy websites and assistance
from MCGS volunteers. Free and open to the public, the
society’s meetings are held in the John F. and Rita M.
Armstrong Wing of the Blake Library. For more information
