Caring Community Raises $45,000 For ARC Of Martin County
Anglers of all ages fished the ARC of Martin County’s Seventh
Annual ARC KDW Offshore Fishing Tournament on Saturday, June
19 in Port Salerno, Fla. It was the first in-person fundraiser for
ARC since pre-COVID, providing much needed operating funds
to benefit children and adults with intellectual and developmental
disabilities across the Treasure Coast.
The weather was great, the fishing was … well, fishing! While
the fish weighed in were all under 12 pounds, with no wahoo or
grouper being reported, 21 boats and 89 participants fished under
blue skies and fair winds returning midafternoon to the beautiful
Pirate’s Cove Resort & Marina to weigh-in their catch and attend
the evening’s festivities. Team Real Tradition was top boat, winning
in multiple categories, though the Jr. Anglers stole the show with
their energy and fishing prowess! Then there was My Other Honey
and Capt. Pete Morello, who again sponsored capable adults with
