Hoshana Raba Services
Join us on the seventh day of the Jewish holiday Sukkot.
It is known as Hoshana Rabbah. This day is marked by a
special synagogue service, the Hoshana Rabbah, in which
seven circuits are made by the worshippers with their
lulav and etrog, while the congregation recites Hoshanot.
It is customary for the scrolls of the Torah to be removed
from the ark during this procession.
Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021 @ 9:15 a.m.
Shemini Atzeret Services
The day after the seventh day of Sukkot, is the holiday
Shemini Atzeret. Shemini Atzeret literally means “the
assembly of the eighth (day).”
Yizkor, a special memorial prayer for the departed, is
recited in the synagogue four times a year, following the
Torah reading on the last day of Passover, on the second
day of Shavuot, on Shemini Atzeret and on Yom Kippur.
