CAMPBELL AND KARLIK, P.A. Strategic Planning Process
The Town Council undertakes an annual strategic
ATTORNEYS AT LAW planning process that begins in January. In past years,
I have worked on ensuring our police department has
adequate staffing, putting a green bond on the ballot
for voters, creation of an Environmental Task Force
Wills • Trusts • Estate Planning • Probate and an Education Committee, and other important
Taxation • Real Estate • Corporations items. I always look forward to incorporating
residents’ feedback into the strategic planning process
and hope you will send in any ideas you have for the
upcoming fiscal cycle.
Indoor Community Space
In late November, I requested that the Town
Council schedule a discussion on the potential
construction of indoor community and gymnasium
space. Based on the amount of community feedback
I’ve received on this item; I believe it is important
to evaluate the potential to design and construction
indoor space that would serve as recreation space for
youth and senior activities (pickleball, basketball,
volleyball) and also serve as emergency shelter space
in the event of storm or another emergency. The last
time we had a close call of a major storm event, it was
evident that there was a need for emergency shelter
space, and this type of facility could be an emergency
resource for our community.
