The Honda Classic To Distribute Record $6.45 Million To Local
Charities, Impacting The Lives Of More Than 100,000 Children
Honda Classic Cares Week Celebrates Latest
Monumental Achievement
The Honda Classic is awarding a record-setting $6.45
million to more than 100 South Florida philanthropic
organizations in 2022, shattering the previous record of $5.35
million that was set pre-pandemic in 2020.
The 25 percent increase allows The Honda Classic to
surpass $61.7 million in charitable contributions as American
Honda approaches its 42nd year as title sponsor of the PGA TOUR event, including almost $46
million in the 16 years since Children’s Healthcare Charity Inc. became the host organization
and moved the event to PGA National Resort and Spa.

Eighth Annual Live Like Jake 5K Raises Over $75,000 For
Drowning Prevention During National Water Safety Month
Over 500 Participants Joined Together In Person To Raise Funds For
Infant Self-Rescue Swim Lessons And Struggling Families Who Have
Lost A Child Or Have Critical Care Needs
Live Like Jake, the local foundation created in the memory of Jake Roarke Morrison,
held its signature event, the Live Like Jake 5K on May 14, in beautiful Riverbend Park,
Jupiter. Participants included 500 in-person runners, including families who had lost a child
from drowning, Infant Self Rescue (ISR) instructors, and supporters enjoyed the beautiful
morning while raising funds to provide scholarships for ISR swim lessons, and for families
who have lost a child or have critical care needs.
The day included children’s activities of face painting, games, hula-hoop challenges
and more. The ceremony began with a reading of the names of children who lost their life
