Twilight Golf League Completes 15th Season

The Twilight Golf League
at the Abacoa Golf Club
completed its 15th season
with a nine-hole scramble
tournament in October.
Winning the event was the
team of Jonas Bloomqvist,
Jimmy Freeburn, Jerami
Eggleston and Shaun Moore.
They shot an impressive nine-
hole total of four under par 32.
Runners-up, at three Long drive winner (left) Vince
under par was the team of Chillemi, and closest to pin on
David Murray, Michael hole No. 11, Mike Connors

Chilleni with a 265-yard drive down the middle into the wind.
Closest to the hole on No. 8 went to Jimmy Freeburn whose
shot was within five feet. Closest to the pin, on the second shot
25 on the 11th hole, went to Michael Connors who chipped within
FEBRUARY eight inches of the cup.
In league play, taking first in the Palmer Flight was Team

1:05 PM 12 made up of Cory Green and his father Greg. Runners-up
26 27 28 was Team 2, comprised of Mike Connors and Joey Santiago.
Winning the Nicklaus Flight was Team 22 consisting of Rich
Maringione and Dan Boss. Finishing in the runners-up spot
was Team 18 featuring Jay Osborne and Bill Mech.

The Twilight Golf League is comprised of 24 two-person
teams and plays a 16-week schedule on Thursday evenings at
1 2 3 4 the Abacoa Golf Club from May through August. The league
MARCH will resume play in May 2023.
