“What’s New in Family February meeting speaker,
Tree Maker,” an audience- Mark Olsen

session about the recently released FTM 24.1 version and
its newest features. Olsen also will discuss FTM partner
products including Charting Companion and Family Book
Creator that help ancestry sleuths create charts, graphs
and books.
The presentation is designed for those unfamiliar with
FTM as well as those already using it. Olsen will present via
Zoom, and the meeting includes a door prize of a one-year
subscription to Family Tree Maker. For more information

Maker Ambassador since 2016. In that role, he works to
support members of historical and genealogical societies
around the world who use the FTM software. A graduate
of Brigham Young University, Olsen holds a Bachelor of
Arts in family history with a Spanish records emphasis.
Free and open to the public, the meeting will be at the
Blake Library, 2351 S.E. Monterey Road in Stuart, from
1 to 3 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17. To participate via Zoom, go
to mcgsfl.org and register by Feb. 16.
The Genealogical Society offers a variety of services
at the Genealogy Room in the Blake Library in Stuart
including an extensive research library, access to
several genealogy websites and assistance from MCGS
volunteers. For more information about membership,

Soroptimist of Stuart celebrated SafeSpace, Inc. and
Christmas on Dec. 14 at Carmela’s Brick Oven Pizza.
Guest speaker Dr. Teresa Albizu, CEO of SafeSpace, Inc.
shared information about the services the nonprofit provides
to the community in its role as the only state certified
domestic violence center saving lives 24/7 and preventing
domestic violence throughout the Treasure Coast.
