Boca Mayor Scott Singer Joins Non-Partisan
Delegation Of Mayors at White House Meetings
By Nils A. Shapiro, Editor, Boca Club News
On January 20th, Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer joined nearly two hundred mayors from
across the nation for an address at the White House by President Biden on the Bipartisan
Infrastructure Law. Singer was part of a delegation from the United States Conference of
Mayors following their winter meeting in Washington, D.C. Singer was able to greet President
Biden from his second-row seat and, while at the White House, met with Cabinet and Biden
Administration officials to discuss funding programs for cities and small businesses.
The United States Conference of Mayors is the official non-partisan organization of cities
with populations of 30,000 or more. Since 2021, Singer has served as one of the nation’s
50 mayors on the Conference’s Leadership team as a member of its Advisory Board. The
Conference’s winter meeting held dozens of sessions at which mayors, Administration and
Congressional leaders, and business and industry representatives exchanged ideas on nearly
two dozen topics. Said Singer, “The meetings of the U.S. Conference of Mayors provide great
information on strategies to address common problems, like growing main-street businesses,
housing affordability, infrastructure and mental health. I look forward to bringing more of
the best practices back to Boca Raton.”
Mayor Singer has previously served as the President of the Florida League of Mayors President Biden addresses United States Conference of Mayors at East Room of the White
