Now Is The Time To Sell Your Home Or EXPLORE LUXURY SENIOR LIVING IN SOUTH FLORIDA
      Condo!
      By Jim Weix
There is a lot of negative
      news about real estate sales.
      Fortunately, it is based
      on old news and doesn’t
      represent what is happening
      on the Treasure Coast right
      now.
         You might read that
      sales are down from the
      same month a year ago.
      However, a year ago we
were in a low inventory and panicked buyer frenzy.
Competition for existing homes was driving both asking
and selling prices up to unsustainable levels.
That came to a sudden halt when record-low mortgage
interest rates ended. Depending upon which report you
read, anywhere from 40 to 75 percent now regret buying a
home or condo during those crazy times. Common sense
has returned to the real estate market.
Unrealistic and inflated asking prices are dropping.
The inventory of real estate for sale is increasing. And
“snowbird” buyers have returned. The number of showings
for properties for sale has increased dramatically.
This all points to a market where properly priced
homes and condos will sell. It also means that if you sell
your home or condo, you should have no problem finding
a new address at a reasonable price.
Everybody has heard that to sell a home you need to
spruce it up, etc. However, a big issue to consider now
is the insurability of your home if someone wants to buy
it. There is nothing worse than having your sale moving
right along and then the buyer can’t get homeowner’s
      insurance. ELEVATE
It would be a good idea to have a 4-point inspection
done. You should be able to get one for under $200.
The inspection will cover the condition of your air
conditioning system, electrical, plumbing, and roof. A YOUR LIVING
buyer will need to have one done to get insurance and
knowing if there are any issues ahead of time will allow
you to address them in advance. The biggest issues seem
to be polybutylene plumbing, which was widely used
between 1978 and mid-1995, and the age of the roof.
Marketing your home or condo properly is also more
important than ever. Most buyers want to see a virtual Retire in style. Whether it’s fine dining and
tour of homes or condos, before deciding to go to see it.
The days of buyers spending the day with an agent and luxury spa experiences or personalized care and
looking at a dozen properties, most of which they know extraordinary events you’re seeking, our luxury senior

front door, are long gone. living community allows you to thrive.
This means that you must have good-quality photos.

can help you, but obviously, things like unmade beds,
cluttered kitchen counters, dirty dishes in the sink, and

      well.
