                                                                                                             Harbourside agreed to limit sound emissions during
                                                                                                           all future special events held at its amphitheater to fully
                                                                                                           comply with Town requirements.
                                                                                                             Harbourside also agreed to early termination of a
                                                                                                           lucrative tax rebate deal that it secured from the CRA

                                                                                                           rebates, so I had long advocated for this to occur. The
                                                                                                           early termination is estimated to reduce the total tax rebate
                                                                                                           payout to Harbourside by about $3 million. This represents
                                                                                                           about a $50 future tax savings for every Town resident.
                                                                                                             In return, the Town granted approval for Harbourside to
                                                                                                           utilize a limited number of public parking spaces to enable
                                                                                                           a new restaurant to locate in existing building space that
                                                                                                           has remained vacant since Harbourside first opened.
                                                                                                             Harbourside appears ready and eager to rebrand itself
                                                                                                           to the Jupiter community. Stay tuned.
