Abacoa Community Garden

The Abacoa Community Garden is slowing down
during the hot, humid summer Florida season! However,
there are always herbs available to members as well as
summer crops such as sweet potatoes, peas, okra and more.
Children’s activities will resume in the fall.
Our membership year begins Aug. 1 (We prepare beds
for fall plantings as well as harvest summer goodies). If
you are interested in becoming a member, forms are in
the garden mailbox (1122 Community Drive – across
from Allegro) or online at www.abacoa.com under clubs/
groups. Residency in Abacoa is not required. Household
memberships are $36 per year. Independent Beds are $30
for a half plot and $60 for a full plot. Currently there are IP
beds available. They are given out on a first-come, first-
served basis so join and get on the list as soon as possible. The garden is also affiliated with the Abacoa APC with Abacoa Community Garden on the memo line

Martinique Celebrates Fourth Of July

Martinique residents enjoyed a family bike parade where
they decorated bikes, scooters, strollers and wagons for a
