To Fight Breast Cancer

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated is an
international service organization and Psi Pi Omega
Chapter is one of the local chapters, serving Martin and
St. Lucie counties. Shelita Dunlap at Alpha
Alpha Kappa Alpha continues to raise community Kappa Alpha Sorority,
awareness of critical health issues impacting African- Psi Pi Omega Chapter’s
American women. The primary focuses are breast cancer “Fashionably Pink” event
awareness and prevention, heart health, nutrition and
wellness, and care for the caregivers.
Breast cancer awareness and prevention focuses
specifically on early detection through mammograms,
helping to improve the survival rate of women diagnosed
with breast cancer.
Alpha Kappa Alpha owns a digital AKA Mobile Breast
Cancer Screening Unit that travels to various locations Arnater Dowers, event chair; Daphne Cooper, vice president of Psi Pi Omega, models Marilyn

survivor who was diagnosed
with breast cancer and
confirmed to be pregnant
with twins at the same time
