Watercolor painter Ellen Negley won the honor of creating
the poster for the 35th ArtiGras, which shows the laidback
tropical lifestyle of south Florida with a scene from the Square
Grouper Tiki Bar with the palm trees swaying in the breeze and
the Jupiter Lighthouse in the background.
“My painting Square Grouper epitomizes the funky tropical
lifestyle that we all love about Florida, and that I find captivating
as an artist,” said Negley, who moved to Palm Beach County
more than 30 years ago from Illinois. “There’s something so
special about a deep red lighthouse surrounded by palm trees
that keeps watch high above the turquoise sea.”
