precautions in place, the interactive exhibition boasts a
makerspace with 3-D printers, laser cutters, computers, and
art supplies. The main gallery displays dynamic, life-size
puppets from award-winning plays Beauty and the Beast
and The Wiz and a puppet-making station for visitors to
create their own puppet. In conjunction, “ArtCamp in a
Box,” for ages six through twelve, combines independent
exploration, some parental supervision, and three optional,
interactive, instructor-led Zoom sessions, to encourage a
nurturing community environment. Each week participants
receive “ArtCamp in a Box” by mail or curbside pick-up,
which includes everything needed for the week. Monday
opens with a surprise character design project, created
especially for the Lighthouse ArtCenter, by one of the artists
on display at the gallery. Throughout the week, kids create
their own characters and the world around them with lessons
by the Lighthouse ArtCenter’s instructors. Camp ends on
