The Brave Journey

to Judaism

Chabad of Palm Beach Gardens
recently hosted an emotional event with
a young couple who defied all odds to
discover their Judaism.
Elisheva Martinetti grew up in Western
China near the border of Russia. Raised
in a deeply communist society, she had
1,500 girls in her grade and the students
were worked to the bone. Competition was
tight as they were told that the only way to
succeed in life was by working harder than
the others. The one child rule was vigorously enforced, but her her fascinating story, Elisheva
mother dreamed of a better life for her and her daughter. In tells the remarkable Divine
Providence that led her from
the hopeless life in China to
Singapore, Australia, New
York, and ultimately London,
where she lives with her
beautiful Jewish family today.
Dovid Martinetti grew up
in an Italian village that was
deeply Catholic. Choked with
tears, he told of the struggles
he faced as he searched for
truth, ultimately finding it
