variety of media and
cultures through a
collection of visual art
that celebrates artists
from near and far.
Art Across Cultures
features two concurrent
exhibitions: Women Hartman, Woman I Suzanne Barton, Mythical Maiden III
Abbe L. Kalman, Flare Up Nadine Saitlin, Go Go, acrylic on paper Underwater, fine art mixed media

in the Visual Arts and Art by Aboriginal People. The
exhibitions are in person with art available for purchase.
Admission is free to members and $5 for nonmembers.

Women in the Visual Arts (WITVA) is a nonprofit
organization whose mission is to support professional
women artists in South Florida. The organization includes
over 200 artists and art lovers. The juried Women in
the Visual Arts exhibition features a variety of media
created by select WITVA members. The art styles range
from abstract to naturalistic and include paintings, Merry Renert, A Rose, mixed Nadel Nance, Royal Secrets,
photography, jewelry and other mixed media. Much of media mixed media collage
the artists’ work is inspired by the natural beauty of South
Florida and includes landscapes, ocean scenes, sea turtles
Micheline Matouk, Fog, acrylic and whimsical mermaids.
Art by Aboriginal People features a private collection
of paintings and wood carvings primarily made by
prominent female Aboriginal artists from the central
desert region of the Northern Territory of Australia. The
Aboriginal paintings use a dot technique that creates a
3-D effect and a sense of movement and rhythm. The
dot paintings tell stories with hidden symbols that have
a deeper meaning about Aboriginal life. The back of the
paintings reveals the artists’ location and the meaning
behind the painting. The art has been ethically sourced
and certified.
