         Recognizing that fighting
      antisemitism requires a
      collective community
      effort, the evening featured
      an insightful and thought-
      provoking panel discussion
      on current efforts to combat
      antisemitism in the Palm
      Beaches and beyond.
         The distinguished panel
      featured West Palm Beach
      Mayor Keith James; Adam
Lehman, President and Josephine Gon, West Palm Jillian Benson and David
CEO of Hillel International, Betsy R. Sheerr and Richard Gail Meyer Asarch and Bill Beach Mayor Keith James Benson
the largest Jewish student Mark Levy, Hope Silverman Sheerr Meyer
      organization in the world;
and Josephine Gon, Vice President of Federation’s
Jewish Community Relations Council, the advocacy
and community relations arm of the nonprofit. Michael
Hoffman, Federation President and CEO, served as
      moderator.
During the conversation, guests learned what each
of these entities is doing to stand up to antisemitism and
ensure Jews locally and beyond feel safe and protected,
with robust efforts on education as well as advocacy to
enact laws to strengthen penalties for antisemitic acts. Each
panelist also emphasized the value of each of us serving as
“upstanders” instead of “bystanders” to combat all forms
      of hatred.
“Even as we celebrated the incredible vibrancy and
strength of our growing Jewish community, this panel Rhonda Starr, Charles Gottesman, Vivian Lieberman Beryl and Lainey Simonson Brian and Lisa Seymour
was a critical conversation as we together speak out,
collaborate, educate, and advocate against any hatred
against Jews, and all people,” shared Hoffman. Suffering from Floaters?
In addition to the panel discussion, the evening included
a joyous celebration as Hope Silverman received the
prestigious Jeanne Levy Community Leadership Award
by Jeanne’s son, Mark F. Levy. Silverman served as WE HAVE THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY
