Local Professionals Selected
for Federation’s Emerging
Leadership Program
Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County has announced
the newest cohort of community leaders selected for its
prestigious Emerging Leadership Program (ELP). Powered by

established in 2009, ELP connects Jewish young professionals
to each other and the community through social, volunteer,
than all other EMS organizations? leadership, and philanthropic activities. The 16-month
professional development track emphasizes leadership, the
idea of Jewish peoplehood, and key issues related to advocacy
and social action.
The chair of the 2023 ELP class is Adam Jackowitz,
who graduated from the program in 2020, and includes the
following young Jewish leaders:
Lacey Appelbaum, Emilee Feldman, Isabelle Jacobson,
Zach Jacobson, Shaina Kamen, Rebecca Landerman, Adam
Levitt, Leeza Newman, Josh Resnick, Loni Schnitzer, Ilan
Sinelnikov, Lauren Steinberg, and Devorah Weiner.
“We are incredibly proud that ELP continues to serve as
one of the premier leadership, educational, and philanthropic
programs throughout South Florida, providing graduates
with a stronger understanding of our Jewish community and
beyond, as well as a deeper connection to themselves and the
impact they can have as leaders,” shared Michael Hoffman,
President & CEO of Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County.

Lacey Appelbaum is a licensed speech language
pathologist. A Baltimore native, she currently lives in Palm
Beach Gardens with her husband and two children.
Emilee Feldman is the Vice President of Sales for
MyMediaBox. She serves on the board of Temple Beth David
and lives in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband and two
children.
Isabelle Jacobson is a preschool teacher at The One School
in Jupiter and also runs Hello Baby!, a mommy and me class
for children up to one-year-old. Isabelle lives in Palm Beach
Gardens with her husband and two children.
A South Florida native, Zach Jacobson is an attorney at
Gunster, where he works in the real property group. He is
also an alumnus of Meyer Preparatory School in Palm Beach
Gardens, a Federation partner organization. He lives in Palm
Beach Gardens with his wife.
Shaina Kamen is a partner in the Private Wealth
Services group at Holland & Knight LLP. She is a Fellow
of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and
volunteers for Georgetown’s Alumni Admissions Program.
Shaina lives in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband and
two children.
Rebecca Landerman is a Chief Registered Dietitian at
Wellington Regional Medical Center. In January 2022,
she created the Facebook group “Jewish 20s and 30s Palm
Beach County,” which has grown to over 800 members and
provides locals with ways to get involved in the community
and connect with each other. Rebecca lives in West Palm
Beach with her two huskies.
