The Honda Classic also exceeded the 200,000 mark for
the fifth consecutive year since bad weather plagued the
event in 2015 (165,200). The tournament attendance record
was set in 2018 when 224,642 attended the event.
The tournament also benefited from record concession
sales for the week.
“It was another great year for The Honda Classic with
the tournament being decided at the Bear Trap with birdies
on the 15th and 17th holes by our great young champion
that provided our fans with the kind of thrilling finish they
probably were hoping for,” Honda Classic Executive Director
Kenneth R. Kennerly said. “The enormous crowds are an
important validation of the tremendous community support
we receive year to year.”
