Drive To Defeat ALS
Once again, the members
of PGA National celebrated
their opening golf event of
the season by raising funds
to support a local charity.
This year, members and
invited guests played in The
Drive to Defeat ALS. This
year’s tournament had special
meaning for most of the over 150 players that filled two
courses on Nov. 7. The tournament honored PGA National
member Doneve Booth, in recognition of her strength,
determination and dignity in her battle with ALS.
The late Greg “Coach” Saunders, past president and
managing director at PGA National, suggested supporting
the ALS Association. He then formed and inspired an Doneve Booth in her studio at
enthusiastic committee which led to the event’s success. PGA National
