Opening New Concealed Weapons License

Martin County Tax Collector is also proud to announce the
tax collector office’s recent partnership with the Department of
Agriculture and Consumer Services to offer “fast-track” intake
services for new concealed weapons license applications and
printing of renewal licenses on the spot. Both the fingerprinting
and photo will be done on site to offer “one-stop fast-track”
service. The license is good for seven years.
We serve any Florida resident from any Florida county,
U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents. (Does not include
work permit status.) No appointments are needed. Walk-ins
are welcomed.
We place a high value on public service by providing our
constituents with a better, more efficient, convenient, easier,
and speedier service. We are strongly committed to finding
the best ways to serve the public.

Customers that would like to submit a concealed weapon
license application or renew a permit may walk in to one of
our three locations to process concealed weapon permits. In
addition to providing identification materials, payment must
be provided. Cash, personal check, cashier’s check, money
order or credit cards accepted.
Note: A convenience fee is charged when using a credit
card by the company that processes the payment. No portion
of this fee is retained by the tax collector’s office.
A Photo I.D.
• Driver’s license or state-issued identification card
• U.S. active duty/retiree/reservist military I.D. card
• U.S. passport or naturalization documents required if
born outside the U.S.
• Foreign passport with appropriate immigration
documents
• U.S. tribal or Bureau of Indian Affairs I.D. card
• An identification card issued by U.S. Dept. of Justice,
Immigration and Naturalization Service
Firearms Training Documents
• Approved hunter education or safety course
• National Rifle Association firearms safety or training
course
• Any training or safety course conducted by an NRA
certified instructor
• Law enforcement safety or training course or class offered
for security guards, investigators, or special deputies
